Nancy tells her experience of living with AMD
“I find life with age-related macular degeneration can be frustrating at times. Tidiness and self-discipline are two habits I have had to acquire. Without them, I might spend 10 minutes looking for my pen before I can start to write something down. I am forever getting out my torch for better light.
However, I do realise I can still do most of the things I enjoy. Reading is hard and sewing is impossible but I have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of help and support available to me. This reminds me that I am not the only one dealing with this disease.
My family is very helpful and supportive and I am very lucky to have them in my life. I encourage everyone to share their story with MDFA because it is a special way to make a difference to our lives.”
