In this webinar, hosted by MDFA with Mary Magias, we discuss what it means to be a carer, and their roles as well as what is the Carer Gateway, the services they offer, and the Carer Support planning process.
Mary Magias is the Manager of Education and Training at Carers NSW. She has been working with Carers NSW for over 11 years developing and delivering education and training to carers, service providers, and industry professionals, across NSW, on carer-related issues, needs, and best practices. Mary has also worked with government and non-government representatives and organisations, as well as with corporate business groups in raising carer awareness and in promoting carer support programs and services to build capacity for the support of carers. Before joining Carers NSW, Mary worked as a social worker with a large Government organisation. As a former carer, she brings a lived understanding and passion to her role in education and training with Carers NSW.
