A macular disease update for eye health professionals
In this edition, we’re excited to share our new CPD course on diabetic eye disease for optometrists, available now through MDFA’s website. The content has been developed by leading retinal specialists and has received Optometry Australia Institute of Excellence Quality Assurance.
MDFA also offers a free CPD course for optometrists on age-related macular degeneration, and we are hosting a CPD webinar with A/Prof Alex Hunyor about AMD classification, AREDS studies and management.
This newsletter also features an update on our meeting with Health Minister Greg Hunt about Medicare rebate changes for eye injections, another case study from the Centre For Eye Health, plus free fact sheets and peer support groups that might benefit your patients.
