Name change for Foundation
The Foundation is proud to announce that it has officially changed its name from the Macular Degeneration Foundation to the Macular Disease Foundation Australia in January 2013.
The vision of the organisation is to reduce the incidence and impact of all macular diseases, the leading cause of blindness and severe vision loss in Australia.
The Foundation will provide information, guidance and support for the many macular diseases primarily macular degeneration but also diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and macular dystrophies.
This change in the Foundation’s mission reflects the organisation’s commitment to servicing the needs of all those with macular diseases by utilising and sharing the expertise, resources and knowledge of the Foundation developed over many years.
