Join an honoured circle of Visionary Partners
A gift in your Will – or bequest – to Macular Disease Foundation Australia is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact on the eye health and the lives of future generations. By leaving a gift in your Will, you will join an honoured circle known as Visionary Partners.
A Visionary Partner gift allows us a considerable degree of flexibility and security in planning for the future so we can continue to support our community.
Our Visionary Partners come from diverse backgrounds, but share a common bond.
Visionary Partners are planning for a future where no one unnecessarily loses their sight to macular disease.
As a Visionary Partner, you’ll receive:
- a certificate of appreciation
- updates and breaking news via our Vision Voice newsletter
- invitations to exclusive events to meet MDFA staff, Board members, researchers and other like-minded supporters
- acknowledgement in our Visionary Partners Honour Roll in our Annual Report.
Of course, if you wish to remain anonymous, this will be respected.
If you’d like more information on our Visionary Partner program, we’re happy to chat. Just call our National Helpline on 1800 111 709 and ask to speak with a member of the Supporter Care team. Alternatively, please email us.

1800 111 709How your bequest will make a difference
We are committed to reaching more Australians living with or at risk of macular disease. We want to build a better understanding of macular disease and to increase awareness of risk, early detection and treatment. We do this through the following four pillars of work.
Research
Through the generous support of Australians like you, we have been able to invest millions into research projects since 2011. We have become the largest non-government source of research funding into macular disease in Australia.
A gift in your Will can directly support future research of world-leading Australian researchers who aim to reduce the incidence and impact of macular disease. And, of course, ultimately find a cure.
Community awareness and early detection
With 8.5m Australians over the age of 50 at risk of or living with macular disease, your gift can help reach those at risk through education and awareness campaigns.
Supports and services
Living with macular disease can be challenging.
Your gift can help us to continue to deliver individual support to thousands of Australians.
Funding hope
The Grant Family Fund: A lasting legacy to ‘best mates’
Faye Grant included Macular Disease Foundation in her Will. That generous gift is now funding vital, innovative research into macular disease.
Advocacy
We represent the community to ensure all Australians can access treatment for macular disease and resources. A gift in your Will can help us raise the united voice of the growing macular disease community. Advocacy can make lasting change for better and fairer access to government support and affordable treatment.
