Vision Voice audio: Autumn 2026

Our Vision Voice newsletter comes out three times a year. It will keep you up to date with what we’re doing on behalf of the macular disease community. You’ll also find the latest research news, upcoming events, and inspiring stories from our community.

In this edition, you’ll read about our advocacy work, calling on the Federal Government to delay proposed Medicare changes that could have increased out-of-pocket costs for sight-saving eye injections.

A Win for our Community

We’re thrilled to share that on March 6 the Government confirmed it will not proceed with these changes. This is a significant win for the macular disease community.

This edition also covers geographic atrophy (late-stage dry AMD), including updates on newly approved treatments that may help slow disease progression, and emerging research exploring innovative technologies to improve vision.

As we celebrate 25 years, we also look to the future. Over the past quarter of a century, the Foundation has grown alongside the community it serves — and what has remained constant is our commitment to ensuring people affected by macular disease feel informed, supported, and never alone.

There’s plenty more to explore in this issue of Vision Voice.

Please note that this will be the last edition of Vision Voice produced as a CD, however if you prefer to listen to an audio version this will still be available on our website. If you have any questions about the newsletter or need support, please call our National Helpline on 1800 111 709.
