Macular Disease Foundation Australia is providing this free education module for optometrists with the support of the Commonwealth Government.
The age-related macular degeneration course is aimed to increase awareness and knowledge of macular disease to enable early diagnosis and interventions.
This course comprises 2x 30-minute modules and 2x 15-minute quizzes, and aims to assist you to manage and reduce modifiable risk, and improve your communication with patients about macular disease and its impacts.
You will learn about linking patients diagnosed with macular disease with appropriate supports and services, and current best practice and strategies to recognise and encourage high risk individuals to have regular eye examinations.
MDFA’s courses are self-paced and include our specialist speaker series, webinars and self-paced learning aimed at improving the outcomes of macular disease.
