$1.3 million in research funding
The Foundation thanks His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove for generously welcoming the Foundation, research grant recipients and guests to Admiralty House on World Sight Day 2015.
The Governor-General awarded $1.3 million of research grants, on behalf of the Foundation, to six outstanding Australian researchers who have the collective goal to reduce the incidence and impact of macular disease in Australia.
MDFA CEO Julie Heraghty spoke of the passion and commitment of the Research Grants Program recipients.
