Peer Support Group Facilitator – Perth (South)
MDFA’s Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Peer Support Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a peer support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable but not necessary.
Group meetings are held in Willagee.

Australia wide Peer to Peer Volunteer
The Peer to Peer Volunteer will be matched with a person living with a macular disease to offer a listening ear, share experiences, and provide social support. The volunteer can speak with their matched client over the phone. Phone calls must occur at least once a week or fortnight for a minimum of 5 phone calls.
This position is open for those residing in Australia.
PLEASE NOTE: To be eligible for this role, you must be diagnosed with early, intermediate, late dry or late wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
